"Athletes put all their faith in their routine. The best believe no skill or ability is static, but that with enough focused practice we can improve in any area - physical or mental."
We are built upon the concept of self-study. Our Founder, Darnell McDonald, comes from the world of professional sport and has a wealth of elite-level experience. His perspective was born in the fires of competition, tempered in the furnace of failure, but only illuminated through the development and consistent implementation of practice. In pursuit of baseball mastery, physical skills are practiced, mindfully, every day in search of improvement.
FIND YOUR SVĀ
At SVĀ Sport, our hope is to be your antidote to anxiety, doubt and restlessness. We meet you on your journey and support you as you learn how to lean into your mind and find an oasis from the pressures of everyday life. Reflect inwards. Find yourself.
Be where our feet are. Live in the present moment. Focus on the process. Cultivate a routine that results in productivity. Many of these concepts are collectively called mindfulness, focusing our attention on what is in front of us, right now.
“Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally.”
Shawon Dunston Jr. | Professional Outfielder
“Adding breath-work and meditation into my routine I have
seen my intent get more precise. I see a difference on how I
attack the day and by working with Darnell in this area I can
see a sense of calmness that usually in the past have trouble
getting to on a daily basis. Training the mind has been a new
emphasis with my daily work.”
Tyson Ross | MLB Pitcher
“Practicing breathwork and mindfulness with Darnell has
transformed my daily routine. I have enjoyed having a clear
mind and more productive days after our training sessions.“
Dave Brunk | Commissioner at Peach Belt Conference
”John and Darnell provided a tremendous resource for the Peach
Belt Conference. The tools they have provided to our student-athletes
have been invaluable and made a real difference in how they
approach the mental health aspects of competition. The powerful
T.E.A.M. presentation/message especially in these trying times,
resonated within our conference. We look forward to continuing to
work with John and Darnell to empower our constituent groups and
to emphasize the importance of mental performance and resiliency.”
